Ten Double-ZeroNeil grumbled and pulled his jacket tighter around himself as a chill wind whipped down the moonlit street. Downtown, the skyscrapers provided some protection, but here in one of the west side's tenement districts a gust would do its best to flay anyone in its path. Neil had lived in Chicago his entire life and he still hated the wind coming off Lake Michigan in the winter.   
He tapped his flashlight and shone it down the next alley he passed, still muttering. He'd joined the force to help keep people safe, not to go looking for stray dogs, but he was the newbie, so of course he was the one who got stuck with looking into a suppose Ten Double-Zero
